These courses are delivered by Harry Kavanagh a member of the KEHS Maths Department and the school’s Enrichment and Scholarship Coordinator.
Any sixth formers who are considering a maths related degree or are studying maths at A Level are more than welcome. We cover all aspects of the A level Mathematics syllabus including Core Mathematics, Mechanics, Statistics, Further Mathematics and Decision Mathematics. Pupils who attend can request help and clarification with specific aspects of the syllabus that they find challenging.
We will be doing preparatory material for university interviews and tests. Some students might like to take the opportunity to have a mock interview after which they will be given advice and feedback. The sessions will also aim to develop problem-solving skills and encourage students to tackle problems beyond the confines of the A level syllabus. The classes this term are primarily for U6th students but keen L6th students are welcome. We have students who attend from a wide range of schools in the Birmingham area and we try to encourage the pupils to work collaboratively with pupils from other schools.
Dates for the Autumn Term 2017 are as follows:
September 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
